这个咋说呢，我开始以为是smell的过去式错了，应该改成是smelt。但我朋友说smell的过去式也可以写成smelled。错是在well那里，应该用good。据说well放在这里，意思和good完全不一样。用smell well时意思是说食物的味道能散发的很好，比如火候正好，能使调味料得到充分发挥，或有微风能让味道传播的远等等。而不表示味道的性质如何。 用smell good时，good修饰smell，是补充说明味道很好的，也就是补充其性质的。
但我还是有些晕，希望能得到更多高手的解释。

修饰词的词性问题吧。形容词修饰名词，比如可以说heavy rain（大雨）。Rain是名词。
副词修饰动词，雨下得大，动词rain要用副词修饰。所以raining heavy→raining heavily。
