5）From him you can learn what does a word mean, how to pronounce a word, how to use a word, and so on.

3.the meaning of new words 改成the meanings of new words ，后面words是复数，前面的用复数形式meanings；5. what does a word mean改成 what a word means，这里是做learn的宾语，是宾语从句要用陈述语序；6.ask him for help you改成 ask him to help you，ask sb to do sth固定搭配；8.It is dictionary改成It is a dictionary，这里dictionary是可数名词；9.some important thing about words改成some important things about words，后面words和前面things对应起来。求助一：You might try to guess what the words mean from the words you know你可能根据你知道的这些单词来猜这些单词是什么意思，主语：you，谓语：might try to guess，宾语：what the words mean，状语：from the words you know；求助二：mean第一意思：做动词用---意味着，it means you're right这意味着你是对的；第二意思：做形容词用---刻薄，don't be so mean to me，不要对我这么苛刻；第三意思：mean做名词meaning的形式---意思，想法，I know what your meaning is我知道你的想法了。

回答一：第2句You might try to guess what the words mean from the words you know.意思是：你可以试着从你知道的单词里猜猜这些生词是什么意思。分析：主语是You;复合谓语是might try to guess;后面接一个宾语从句what the words mean，from the words you know整部分是介宾短语做状语，说明从哪里猜想生词的意思；在状语里面还有一个定语从句（that ）you know修饰the words.
回答二：mean有三种词性，名词意思有：平均值。形容词有：平均的；卑鄙的；低劣的。动词意思有：意味；想要；意欲，有意。大家举例：What do you mean by asking this question? Whom do you mean by them? What do you mean by watching TV now?
